10/6 Physical Features; Blog Commenting

Whenever you need help, please ask for it.

Today in class you will 

• use appropriate "netiquette".
• leave a positive digital footprint.
• identify types and examples of physical features.

Why?

• To better understand how to use the internet and social media in a positive manner and influential manner.
• To better understand features that impact people.

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

2.  Click on the link here . Click "Open with MindMup" above the image. Sign in. Go to FILE - make a copy. (Make sure you use the folder icon next to the title and move it to the social studies folder in the Drive Classroom folder.)    3 minutes

3.  In the MindMup, list different land features and water features. Then come up with at least one specific example for each from outside North America. (Refer to an Atlas if need be.)     15 minutes

4. Go to the 2016-2017 Blog Roll.  Choose a blog that isn't yours. Read the blog post and respond to it - on the blog - with an academic comment of at least three sentences.      10 minutes

5. While you wait, complete the Google A Day challenge using Google Search techniques you have learned (which doesn't include searching the question).

5. Class examples & discussion.      10 minutes

6. Other blogs.      10 minutes

• How do you properly interact with someone on their blog?
• Show me a good example. Tell me what a poor example would be?
• What are physical features? What are some specific examples?
