6/13 Post Holocaust Genocide

Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
Please write your homework in your assignment book.
Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).


Today in class you will 
  • identify details and main ideas.
  • investigate genocide after the Holocaust.

Why?
  • To develop empathy.
  • To practice note taking skills. 

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

2.  Make a copy of the document at this link, and move it into your social studies folder.            2 minutes

3. Jot notes and identify main ideas, following the directions provided in the document you just copied.               45 minutes

"What Did You Do in School Today?"
Ask them.......
  • Other than the Holocaust in Europe, what other genocide has taken place?
  • What happened and who was targeted?
