6/2 Listen to Their Stories

Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
Please write your homework in your assignment book.
Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).


Today in class you will 
  • hear the perspective of a victim of the Holocaust.

Why?
  • To develop empathy.
  • To develop your reading skills.

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

2.  Read an excerpt from "Four Perfect Pebbles" with the class.              15 minutes

3. Whole class discussion.             10 minutes

4. Poetry read aloud              10 minutes

5. Daniel's story.              15 minutes

Ask them.......
  • Describe what happened in Marion Blumenthal's early life.
