1/10 Global Goals: Investigate

Reminders
  • Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
  • Please write your homework in your assignment book.
  • Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).

Today in class you will
  • Process information about a Global Goals (UNSDG) through research.
Why?
  • To better understand human and physical geography.
  • To develop empathy.
  • To develop critical thinking.
  • To practice reading and writing skills.

DIRECTIONS

If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting , Google A Day, or this Google Maps Scavenger Hunt or create a meme for one of our social studies topics from the year. (Don't search forthe question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute
2. Finish calendar in research guide.            5 minutes

3. Wait for whole class discussion: internet searching              10 minutes  

4. Independent research - note taking (break every 10 mins.)                  35 minutes

5. Wait for whole class share.                  5 minutes

  • What are important ideas you have found out about your chosen Global Goal? Tell me about them.

  • To develop critical thinking.
