NOTE: Links to Google Classroom, Google Docs, or other Google Apps for Education will require students to log in to their school account.

NOTE: Due to the drop period in our schedule, there are times that your student might be working on a previous day's agenda. That will be noted at the top of the post.

  • embed a world news map on your blog
  • discover how people can help with the UN SDG.
  • help organize our UN SDG project.

    Why?
    • To develop your mental map of the world.
    • To empower you to make positive change in the world.

    1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

    2.  You are picking up with yesterday's directions.
    • . Follow the directions in the document at this link. You'll be making pins for the Ghana bug summary and the Bangladesh vertical gardening summary.           10 minutes

    3. If it is not already open, open your World News Map.  It should be in Drive where you can easily find it.         2 minutes
    • Click share in the menu on the left, and make sure the setting is Public on the Web - can view.
    • Click on the three vertical dots next to the title of your map, and choose "embed on my site."
    • The embed code appears and is selected.  You just need to use CTRL + C to copy it.
    4.  Follow the directions in the following video:  Blog Width.  Please ask for help if you need it.          4 minutes

    5.  Follow the directions in the following video: Using Embed Code on Your Blog.  Please ask for help if you need it. The pop up window doesn't appear in the video, but you can listen and follow the direction. After you paste your embed code, change the width from "640" to "450" to fit your right column.          4 minutes

    6.  Go to the following sites and make a list of at least 10 different things in your scrap paper of what people can do to help meet the UN SDG.

    7.  Whole class discussion.          10 minutes

    8.  UN SDG project - let's figure this out together.

Parents: Instead of Asking Your Child,
"What Did You Do in School Today?"
    Ask them.......
    • Show me your world news map.
    • What are some ways people can help meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
