DIRECTIONS    If you are waiting at any point, work with the Waiting Activities listed in the right-hand column of this page.

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.  In your scrap paper doc or on paper and by yourself, brainstorm as many words as you can think of that start with the prefix "mon" or "mono".        15 minute

3.  Retrieval practice: Wait for directions.       15 minute

4.  Whole class: government types                25 minutes
